After 10 years, we are saddened to share that K9 Acres will be closing its doors. Our final day of operation will be June 30, 2026. As of May 1, 2026, we will provide only limited services.
This was an extremely difficult decision for us. K9 Acres was never just a business. It was created with the sincere hope of building a place where both people and dogs could thrive. It became a space where individuals gained valuable work experience, grew in confidence, and felt truly valued, while dogs of every breed, age, and temperament received thoughtful care and affection.
Over the past decade, we have been privileged to care for so many wonderful dogs and to get to know the families who love them. Many of you have been with us for years, entrusting us with members of your family. That trust has meant more to us than we can adequately express.
To every staff member who has been part of K9 Acres throughout the years, we offer our deepest thanks. Your dedication, patience, hard work, and genuine love for the dogs helped shape what K9 Acres became. Your contributions will always be remembered.
We are proud of the community that grew around K9 Acres and of the positive impact it had on so many lives—both human and canine. Though we wish circumstances had allowed us to continue, we are grateful for the time we had.

Our Dog boarding and Dog training services accompanied with our Dog spa services in Georgina, Sutton and the GTA is the perfect option for owners that don't want to leave their pet home all day or even while traveling. If you’re heading off for a business trip and you want to ensure your furry friend receives the right type of attention and care. K9 acres will provide the services you require so your dog or puppy feels right at home with the same love and attention they would get from you.

We strive to provide top-notch play-care in a safe and engaging environment so that your pet can enjoy the best day ever!

Ask about our Board and Train option if there is an interest in obedience training for your dog - approximately $105 per day (boarding fee included).
K9 ACRES offers upscale accommodations and amenities for your most precious companions while you are away for work or play. Our goal is to create a stress-free and pleasurable environment and to give you peace of mind.
And we are staffed 24/7.
We have 28 outside yard with between 100sq ft and 3,000 sq ft of play area at our Sutton location which allows individual and group play areas.
All of our overnight stays include play-care and are based on a 24-hour visit with an additional 4 hour grace period to help you check-in and out when it works for you!
If your pet needs to stay past a 28 hour stay then an extended stay rate of $23.10 will be applied to the bill.
STRETCH
Dog Walking - from $20.00
A dog’s mind must be kept active to be healthy and happy. Regular daytime activity provides mental stimulation. Along with the emotional benefits, there are the undeniable physical benefits. Even aging pets should be kept as agile and fit as possible—but they may not be inclined to exercise without encouragement. We will work with you to add one on one time with your pooch while they are staying with us to take them to explore safe and fun routes on pour 50 acre property to allow them to explore, exercise and do their doggy business.

Crate Training - from $500.00
So you got a new puppy on the weekend .... and now it's Monday morning! Crate training can be a dirty job ... let us help your puppy start off on the right paw!
Next to the training collar and leash, the dog crate is the proven training tool most recommended by professional dog trainers, groomers and veterinarians. Once accustomed to the dog crate, unfavorable behaviors such as house soiling, destructive chewing, digging, unnecessary barking, and howling can be avoided. Crate training is also an ideal system to help ease separation anxiety.

ADDITIONA FEES & PREMIUMS
Statutory Holiday Minimum Stay & Premium

A three-day minimum stay is required for all bookings over any long weekend / statutory holiday.
-
A $40.00 (total) premium is applicable for all stays on a statutory holiday. For example a $120.00 (total) stat holiday premium is applicable per pet for all stays between December 25th and January 1st.

Bookings of less than the minimum three-day stay will be subject to an additional $25.00 premium per day and reserved based on availability.
Late Pickup or Early Drop off
Where needed we can organize the following:

Early drop off between 7:15am and 8am - $10 plus HST per dog
-
Late pickup between 7pm and 8pm - $25 plus HST per dog.

Being late for pickup on Statutory Holidays as well as any day between December 23rd and January 2:

one to three hours - $25 plus HST per dog

longer than three hours - $75 plus HST per dog

No Shows or Late Cancellations
Day Care - Should a client's pet does not show up for a booked daycare stay a No Show fee of 30% of the booking cost or $40 will be applied to that client's account, whichever is greater.
Boarding - Clients have up to 72 hours prior to the start of a boarding stay to cancel a booking. Any cancellations that happen with less than 72 hours advanced notice will result in a late cancellation fee being applied to the client's account. The cancellation fee is 30% of the total booking fee or one day's boarding fee, whichever is greater.
Driving Rates:

The driving rate of $0.65 plus HST per kilometre per pick-up and/or drop-off will apply (calculated from 605 Catering Rd to the pick-up/drop-off location - e.g. $130.00 for 100 km round trip)

A driver rate of $28.35.00 plus HST per hour will additionally apply for the duration of the return trip for each service. We encourage pick-up and drop-off times to be outside of the rush-hour windows.

A $25 plus HST premium may be added for all pick-ups and drop-offs requested on statutory holidays.

An additional $20 plus HST will be charged for each additional dog

Where a driver uses the 407 to reduce drive time the cost of the 407 fees will be applied to the bill.
Additional Food Purchase:

We encourage that you provide the required amount of food for the duration of your pet's stay (calculate portions based on daily food intake) with a few days extra.

Please note that we may slightly increase your pet's daily food intake at our discretion if we find that his or her activity level is higher during their stay.

Should your pet run out of food while staying with us, a member of our team will pick up the same brand of food from the pet store (to minimize any potential GI upsets).

The cost of food plus $20.00 plus HST will be added to your final bill.
