About K9 Acres:
K9 Acres was set up in 2016 with the aim to provide a safe and happy place for dogs of all breeds and temperaments to stay. My wife and I owned small and very large dogs and we had some concerns when they were boarded at some facilities especially with how much outside time they received. After much discussion we chose to start a pet resort where standards would be such that we would be comfortable leaving our own very loved dogs.
A most important part of our business is our staff who we believe are AMAZING and who work so hard with the dogs that stay with us. We aim to give every dog the attention it needs whether its an extra walk, getting needed medications or one-on-one time with a staff member in their run. Our hope is that K9 Acres can be the go to place for our clients when then need to get away whether for a day or an extended vacation.
K9 ACRES is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Daycare hours are from 8am* to 7pm daily.
Social Club hours are from 7am to 7pm daily.

THIS IS MY DOG'S FIRST VISIT, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO BEFORE THE VISIT?
Yay! Thank you for choosing us! We promise to take great care of your pooch! In order for us to create a safe environment for all of our guests and to make sure that we know everything there is about your fur baby, we require for you to register as a new client and complete all the required forms (the good news is, you only have to do it once)!

WHEN ARE YOU GUYS AROUND?
There is a K9 ACRES staff member on site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our daycare hours are Monday through Sunday 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.
HOW DO WE MAKE A RESERVATION OR INQUIRE ABOUT AVAILABILITY?

WHAT VACCINATIONS DO YOU REQUIRE FOR MY DOG TO PLAY OR STAY WITH YOU?
We require for your pup to be up to date on their Rabies, DHPP and preferably Bordetella vaccines prior to their visit. Puppies under 16 weeks of age are exempt from the Rabies vaccine. We require a copy of vaccination records prior to your pup's first visit with us.
WHAT DO I NEED TO PACK FOR MY DOG'S K9 ACRES VACATION?
We recommend that you bring your dog's bed and one or two other comfort items (toy, blanket etc..) so that they have a little piece of home with them....but of course we would be just as happy to provide one of our comfy beds at no charge. We do however require that you bring enough food for your dog's stay with us (we allow both kibble and raw)... not changing the dog's regular diet minimizes tummy upsets and allows them keep their usual routine. We provide healthy treats but please let us know if you have any preferences or special instructions. If your pup requires medication to be administered during their stay, please make sure to bring it with you along with any instructions.
WHAT WILL MY POOCH BE DOING WHEN AT K9 ACRES?
Our motto is that your pet comes 1st at K9 ACRES and as such we individualize your pup's itinerary to best suit their unique personality and play style as well as the instructions provided by you, the pet parent. Your pup will be matched with K9 playmates of similar size, temperament and play style to ensure safety and tons of fun. For shy pups or those that prefer alone time, we provide a private area to stretch and use the potty and more one-on-one time with our two-legged staff. A private walk and games are included to make sure your pup is engaged and gets plenty of exercise and love. Our overnight guests enjoy play time just like our daycare guests with nap and meal breaks throughout the day. After their last bathroom break, we top up their water, give them cuddles and tuck them in for the night.
DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR MULTIPLE DOGS?
We love packs and offer very competitive rates! Every additional dog from the same household when housed together will receive a 20% discount from our standard stay rate. Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss any specific needs, we work with our clients to create packages that both satisfy your pet care requirements and budget.
WHAT IF THERE IS A NEED FOR MY BABY TO SEE A VET?
If there is a requirement for your pup to see a vet, we will follow the instructions that you provided when completing the registration form and notify you or your appointed proxy immediately.
WILL YOU GIVE MY PUP HIS MEDICINE DURING HIS STAY?
Of course - we will administer most pill and topical based medications during operating at no extra charge. Please speak to us if the care will involve Injections or specialized applications. Please make sure you provide us with all the details when completing the registration form.
DO YOU ALLOW "AGGRESSIVE" DOGS IN YOUR FACILITY?
We pride ourselves on being accepting of all breeds and all attitudes. We ensure that all dogs in our care are, first and foremost, safe and have accordingly allocated space for our furry friends that prefer alone time.
DO YOU ALLOW INTACT DOGS TO PLAY OR STAY WITH YOU?
Absolutely! We don't discriminate. Just like all other members of our pack, we will ensure that your pooch is grouped with like-minded buddies to ensure they have a safe and pawsome time!
WHAT IF MY FOUR-LEGGED LADY IS IN HEAT? CAN SHE STILL VISIT OR STAY?
Most certainly! We will ensure that she is kept separately from any potential suitors and has a stress free stay with us. As a little extra clean up is required, an additional $10.00 per night rate will apply.
